Awareness campaign for ASHA workers - Kotekar PHC

The CEAC team from MIO conducted an awareness campaign on “the detection and referral protocols in oncology” at PHC Kotekar, Beeri, Mangalore on 26th April 2018 for the ASHA workers. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Gopikrishna Medical officer in the presence of Dr. Lal Madathil, Chief operating officer of MIOH. The lectures were delivered by Mrs. Poornima and Ms. Mintu on the early detection of malignancy and self examination methods in breast detection. Later discussion on various treatments available at MIO and the financial schemes were done. MIO’s dedication to create awareness on cancer detection and prevention and the valuable role of ASHA workers was emphasised at this event.
