MIO Hospital is a comprehensive cancer center providing Radiation Oncology (IGRT, IMRT, SBRT), Medical Oncology (Chemotherapy, Targeted Therapy), Surgical Oncology, and Nuclear Medicine (PET-CT).
Is radiation therapy painful?
No, radiation therapy is a painless procedure, similar to getting an X-ray. You will only feel the treatment table and the machine moving around you. Some patients may experience skin irritation or fatigue over time, which our team will help manage.

Do you accept health insurance?
Yes, we are empaneled with major health insurance providers and TPAs. We also support various government healthcare schemes. Please bring your insurance card and relevant documents for verification.
What are the visiting hours for family?
For inpatient wards, visiting hours are typically between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Only one bystander is allowed in the patient room overnight. For Daycare areas, companions may wait in the designated lounge.
Where is MIO Hospital located?
MIO has two locations in Mangaluru: our main comprehensive facility at Pumpwell and our specialist center at Karangalpady.
