Dr. Suresh Rao is the Chief of Radiation Oncology at MIO and an expert in external-beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy. He trained at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, built his clinical reputation across premier cancer centers in Europe and the USA, and has the rare distinction of helping start three radiation oncology centers globally. He is also among the few radiation oncologists in India specialized in stereotactic ablative radiation therapy and was the first to adopt it in Mangalore.

Dr. Sanath Kumar Hegde is a senior radiation oncologist at MIO with over 30 years of experience. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training from Kasturba Medical College and has extensive expertise in treating patients with Cobalt and Linear Accelerator therapy. He is an experienced brachytherapist with deep experience in the treatment of cervical cancer.

Dr. Krishna Prasad is the Chief Medical Oncologist at MIO. He completed his medical training through Bangalore University and Manipal University, followed by a DM in Medical Oncology from the Cancer Institute, Adyar, Chennai. He is recognized as the first medical oncologist of Mangalore and has broad expertise in chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and newer biological therapies for solid and hematological cancers.

Dr. Jalaluddin Akbar is the Chief Surgical Oncologist at MIO. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training through Gulbarga University and Bangalore University, followed by an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Hospital, Bangalore. He is widely respected for his work in minimally invasive and organ-sparing cancer surgery, helping patients recover faster without compromising cancer control.

Dr. Rohan Chandra Gatty is a renowned Surgical Oncologist who completed his MS in General Surgery at Mysore Medical College and his MCh in Surgical Oncology at Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad. He has played a major role in developing surgical oncology in Mangalore, has performed more than 4,000 major complex surgeries, and is known for his strong surgical skill, minimally invasive surgery training, academic contributions, and research work.

Dr. Hemanth Kumar is a consultant in Medical Oncology at MIO. He completed his MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, MD in General Medicine at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and DM in Medical Oncology at Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai. He also served as an Assistant Professor at Father Muller Medical College from 2019 to 2021.

Dr. Venkataraman Kini is a consultant in Radiation Oncology at Mangalore Institute of Oncology. He completed MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, MD in Radiation Oncology at Father Muller's Medical College, and worked as a Senior Resident at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences from 2016 to 2021. He has notable experience in treating painful bone metastasis with radiation.

Dr. Vishwanath is a highly skilled Surgical Oncologist with over 10 years of experience and more than 2,500 successful cancer surgeries, making him one of the region's leading specialists in advanced oncological procedures. He holds an MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Banaras Hindu University. Dedicated to evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate cancer care, Dr. Vishwanath is an integral part of the multidisciplinary cancer team at MIO.

Dr. Dinesh Shet is a well known Medical Oncologist currently associated with Mangalore Institute of Oncology, Kadri, with over 20 years of experience in Medical Oncology across many reputed hospitals in India. He is known for accurate diagnosis and empathetic patient care. His specialty interests include chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy and newer biological therapies. He holds an MBBS, MD in Internal Medicine from GMC Nagpur, and DM in Medical Oncology from BJ Medical College, and has contributed to research, workshops, and academic work in the field.

Dr. Kilambi Yeseshvi is a consultant in Nuclear Medicine at MIO. He completed his MBBS and MD in Nuclear Medicine from JIPMER, Puducherry, worked as a Senior Resident at JIPMER, and later served as Assistant Professor in Nuclear Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He has significant experience in the use of PET-CT technology for early cancer detection.

Dr. Rithi Melissa D'Silva completed her MD in Radiodiagnosis from Father Muller Medical College and DNB Radiodiagnosis from NBE, and also holds the EDiR qualification. She pursued a Fellowship in Onco Imaging from HCG Hospital, Bangalore, completed the Masters of Oncologic Imaging course from the University of Pisa, and holds RECIST qualification for response assessment in cancer therapy. Her special interests include oncologic imaging and image-guided diagnostic interventions in oncology.

Dr. Vishwapriya Godkhindi is a Consultant Oncopathologist and Laboratory Head at Mangalore Institute of Oncology. He completed MBBS and MD in Pathology from MUHS, Nashik, followed by a Fellowship in Oncopathology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has also trained in pediatric pathology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, and his interests include lung, GI, and gynecological pathology.

Dr. Divya Jyothi is an ENT and head-and-neck oncosurgeon with over 10 years of experience as an ENT consultant. She completed MBBS from Father Muller's Medical College, postgraduate training in ENT at Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, and a fellowship in head-and-neck oncosurgery at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar. She has worked as a consultant in multiple hospitals and is presently serving as a consultant oncosurgeon at MIO Thirthahalli.

Dr. Suhas V Navada is a dedicated Radiation and Clinical Oncologist with over five years of experience in comprehensive cancer care and experience treating more than 1,800 cancer patients. He has previously served at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, Hubli and Tata Memorial Hospital, Assam. His expertise includes IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRT, and brachytherapy, and he contributes actively to the Tumour Board at MIO Hospital while serving patients at MIO Thirthahalli.
