Ms. Rhea Katherine Dsouza, Dietitian at MIO attended the Indian Dietetic Association Annual Conference at Ahmedabad from December 19th to 21st 2019. The conference was conducted by the IDA Gujarat chapter with over 1000 national and international delegates and eminent speakers for nutrition and medical fraternity. The conference highlights were the impact of nutrition in cancer of the gastro-intestinal tract, cachexia due to cancer and its management for diabetic patients advances in the field and interdisciplinary management, surgical management of various diseases and other important topics. She also attended a workshop on CRITICAL CARE NUTRITION which aimed at assessing and managing patient nutrition in an ICU setting, including patients on ventilator support for better outcomes.
